SEAN MURPHY JOINS THE SEAHAWKS FOR THE 2026 NBL1 NORTH SEASON

The Coomera Anglican College North Gold Coast Seahawks are excited to announce the signing of Sean Murphy to the club’s NBL1 North Men’s team for the 2026 season.

Murphy brings a strong mix of international experience, collegiate success, and high-level competition to the Seahawks program. A versatile and hard-working player, he is set to make a valuable impact both on and off the court.

Sean recently completed his college career in the United States, finishing his senior season at Lubbock Christian University (LCU). During the 2025 season, Murphy helped lead the program to an NCAA Division II Tournament appearance while earning Lone Star All-Conference honours, highlighting his strong performance throughout the year.

Prior to his time at LCU, Murphy spent three seasons at the University of Nebraska–Kearney (UNK), where he competed in NCAA Division II basketball and continued to develop his game at the collegiate level.

Murphy also brings professional experience from the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He first competed in the league in 2021 with the Auckland Huskies, before returning in 2025 with the Tauranga Whai, where he helped the team secure a semi-final finish in the competition.

Murphy is excited for the opportunity ahead with the Seahawks.
