JUNIOR SEAHAWKS REP PROGRAM

The Junior Seahawks Representative Program is the next step up from Junior Domestic Club Basketball and provides players from Under-12 to Under-18 with an opportunity to compete against the best players from other Queensland Associations.

Our teams compete in two competitions delivered by Basketball Queensland.

SQJBC

Southern Queensland Junior Basketball Competition (SQJBC - formerly BQJBC) runs once per year, and is now a series of carnival rounds played against the other South East Queensland based Associations. Teams can expect to travel as far as Noosa to the North and Toowoomba to the West. Carnival Round games are played on both Saturday & Sunday.

Queensland State Championships

All teams (U12 to U18) also take part in the Queensland State Championships. Seperate events are held for each age group and also gender for some age groups. These 4-day carnivals are held at locations around the State, so can involve travel to Northern and Central Queensland locations. These tournaments are where all Queensland Associations compete.

Players must attend all trials unless an exemption is granted by emailing bdm@seahawksbasketball.com.au

Please wear a reversible training singlet or have light and dark items.

Pre-Trial for non-existing rep players trial: $40

5-week Trial: $120

REGISTRATION CONDITIONS

Trials are open to players that are registered to and participating in our 2025/26 Summer Seahawks Junior Basketball Competition. They must be financial with Seahawks and their Junior Domestic Club. People who have moved in to the area from over 100km may apply for an exemption by emailing bdm@seahawksbasketball.com.au (conditions apply)

TRANSFERS

If you last played Representative basketball for another association you must complete a Transfer to North Gold Coast Seahawks in order to trial. In order for BQ to approve a Transfer you must have played at 7 games in our domestic competitions.
