JUNIOR SEAHAWKS REP PROGRAM
The Junior Seahawks Representative Program is the next step up from Junior Domestic Club Basketball and provides players from Under-12 to Under-21 with an opportunity to compete against the best players from other Queensland Associations.
Our teams compete in two competitions delivered by Basketball Queensland.
Basketball Queensland Junior Basketball Competition (BQJBC) runs once per year, and is a weekly competition played against the other South East Queensland based Associations. The competition is played on a home & away basis. Teams can expect to travel as far as Noosa to the North and Toowoomba to the West. Games are played mostly on Saturday afternoons, with some games also played on Sunday's.
Queensland State Championships
All teams (U12 to U18) also take part in the Queensland State Championships. Seperate events are held for each age group and also gender for some age groups. These 4-day carnivals are held at locations around the State, so can involve travel to Northern and Central Queensland locations. These tournaments are where all Queensland Associations compete.

Trials for 2020/21 BQJBC season will take place* in July for U16 to U21 age groups and October for U12 & U14 age groups.
*timing may vary dependant on Covid-19 restrictions.
All players should be registered and participating in the North Gold Coast Seahawks Junior Basketball Competition. Requirements for participation are normally a minimum of 50% of the Winter season. With the current postponement of the Winter season due to Covid-19, further information will be provided surrounding these requirements.
