Notice of North Gold Coast Seahawks Annual General Meeting

All members please be advised of the upcoming North Gold Coast Seahawks Basketball Inc Annual General Meeting.

Date: Saturday, 12^th September 2026

Time: Commences 9am.

Where: Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, Willow Vale Room. 35 Beattie Rd Coomera QLD 4209

Business to be conducted at this meeting: 2026 AGM Agenda as CLICK HERE. Only matters listed in the agenda are to be dealt with during the AGM.

A Board meeting will be held immediately after the AGM.

Information Re: Election of Members to the Board

Please present nominations for Board positions by 9am on 29^th August 2026 to the club secretary at: secretary@seahawksbasketball.com.au

Board positions available for nomination:

In 2026 the following positions are available in line with Board tenure periods:

·      Director 2 – Vice President

·      Director 3 - Treasurer

·      Directors 5 and 7

Position descriptions are contained in the Governance Manual as well as the skills matrix for desired competencies for Board positions.

Nominations must be received in writing and signed by the nominated member (candidate), and the member’s proposer and seconder. 

Voting Members are Registered Volunteers of our member Junior Clubs & Registered Volunteers of Seahawks programs. (Per section 9 of the constitution for full definition)

Should a member wish to vote by proxy the following process must be followed per the constitution:

An eligible voting Member shall be entitled to a (one) proxy vote; on a form prescribed by the association should they be unable to attend a General Meeting. They will need to request the required form from the Secretary in writing to secretary@seahawksbasketball.com.au

This form needs to be submitted to the Secretary at least 24 hours prior to the General Meeting unless due cause can be shown as to why it was submitted later.

Please note, only eligible club and association volunteers who have registered in Basketball Connect including their Blue Card prior to June 30^th 2026 are deemed voting members.

 If you have not registered in Basketball Connect per above you must apply for membership and be approved via our online volunteer registration form, located in the Resources section of the North Gold Coast Seahawks website (before 29^th August 2026) to then be eligible to be nominated and/or vote at the AGM.  Alternatively you can click here for to access the form.

Pre AGM Documents:

Prior to the AGM documents will be sent out to members by email on Saturday September 5^th to allow a pre read prior to the day.
