The North Gold Coast Seahawks Under 14 Girls have been crowned 2026 State Champions after defeating the Southern Districts Spartans 39–26 in the championship game.
The Seahawks delivered an outstanding defensive performance in the final, holding the Spartans to just 26 points and securing the title with a commanding 13-point victory.
Havana Walker produced a brilliant performance on the biggest stage, scoring a game-high 23 points—including two three-pointers—and was deservedly named Finals MVP.
Walker received valuable support from Miah Reiher, who finished with six points, and Indianna Mangakahia, who added five. Sienna Endemann and Talia Biskaps contributed two points each, while Brooklyn Soloai added one.
The championship victory also qualifies the Seahawks to represent Queensland at the 2026 Basketball Australia Under 14 Club Championships in Willetton, Western Australia, in September.
It marks the second consecutive year the Seahawks girls’ program has qualified for the prestigious national tournament—an outstanding achievement that reflects the players’ commitment, the guidance of the coaching staff and the support of the wider Seahawks community.
The Basketball Australia Under 14 Club Championships bring together the leading junior club teams from across the country, giving the Seahawks an opportunity to compete on the national stage.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, team staff and families on an incredible State Championship campaign. The entire Seahawks community is proud of the team and looks forward to supporting them as they prepare to take on Australia’s best in Western Australia.

Help the Seahawks Get to Nationals
With qualification secured, the team now faces another significant challenge: raising approximately $30,000 to help cover the cost of sending the players and team staff to Western Australia.
A series of team fundraisers will be announced in the lead-up to the championships, giving the Seahawks community the opportunity to support the team’s journey to the national stage.
Keep an eye on the Seahawks’ channels for details about upcoming fundraising activities and ways you can get involved. Every contribution will help the team proudly represent the club and Queensland in Willetton this September.
