Seahawks Basketball Returns to NBL1 North!

After a short break to rebuild and strengthen our club foundations, the North Gold Coast Seahawks are proud to announce our official return to the NBL1 North competition — and we’re coming back stronger than ever.

We’re thrilled to confirm that Basketball Queensland has accepted our nomination for both our men’s and women’s NBL1 North teams. This marks an exciting new chapter for the Seahawks community, one built on development, opportunity, and long-term success.

The Seahawks Board unanimously agreed that returning to NBL1 aligns perfectly with our vision to provide a genuine, sustainable pathway for athletes on the Gold Coast. Our focus is clear — to grow from within and strengthen the link between our junior development programs, senior teams, and elite-level opportunities.

Rather than rushing into the import market, our priority is to nurture homegrown talent. We believe in investing in our Seahawks juniors, local players, and dedicated coaches who have been the heartbeat of our club for years. By creating a strong foundation at every level, we’re setting the stage for ongoing success, both on and off the court.
