The North Gold Coast Seahawks Basketball Association would like to announce the signing of local Jesse Lomax for the NBL1 North 2022 Competition.
Lomax is a Seahawk junior and is heavily invested throughout the association. He not only plays at a QSL, and now NBL1 North level, but he also head coaches the U18 Boys White representative team, and helps develop our juniors through the popular Swooper Hoopers program.
Lomax had a fantastic QSL season, where he was part of the team’s leadership group that were a whisker away from securing the championship for the 2021 season. Lomax had some huge games for the Seahawks last season, including a game saving 28 vs Toowoomba on the road, after facing the same team the night before.
Head Coach for the North Gold Coast Seahawks Basketball NBL1 North side, Luke McGuire, appreciates the level of dedication Lomax has towards the Seahawks association.
“It’s always great to get those guys that have played their entire junior career with one club and progress to the NBL1 level with the same association,” said McGuire.
“Jesse is a proud Seahawk and will have to set the standard for the personnel that we bring in, to make sure that they not only buy into the team but understand the importance of being about the entire association”
“Jesse also brings to the group perimeter shooting, as well as that chippy style of play, so hopefully he has a huge pre-season with the group and leads from the front”
Lomax is equally as excited to see his home club take the leap into the NBL1 North competition.
“It’s been a huge couple of years for the club, but it’s great to see that our overall pathway is now really clear, and we are competing at all levels of competition,” said Lomax.
“Personally, I am really proud to have the opportunity to be a part of our first ever NBL1 North team and excited to compete against some of the best players in the country”
“I know how important this competition is, to not only us in the team, but to the overall association and all we want to do is make our Seahawk faithful proud of our on court and off court performance”
“I can’t wait for the season already”
