The North Gold Coast Seahawks are proud to announce the appointment of Steve McLeod as the club’s new General Manager. Steve brings over 25 years of senior management experience leading large teams and driving growth across healthcare, technology, retail, and education. He has held senior leadership roles with organisations such as Individualised Lifestyle Support Services, Aidacare, Genie Solutions, and MWD, where he delivered operational reform, commercial growth, and stakeholder engagement on a national level.
Most recently, as General Manager of Individualised Lifestyle Support Services, Steve managed more than 160 staff, implemented structural reforms, improved compliance, and strengthened community and stakeholder partnerships. His expertise in strategy, workforce development, and commercial management offers the Seahawks strong leadership for the future.
Alongside his corporate career, Steve has been heavily involved in basketball for more than three decades as a player, coach, and administrator. He served as Assistant Coach and Development Manager with the Brisbane Bullets in the NBL, coached Queensland State League programs, and worked extensively in high-performance school initiatives. His long-standing connection to the game ensures he brings both business acumen and a passion for basketball to the role.
North Gold Coast Seahawks President Jordan Mullan said Steve’s appointment marks a strategic step for the club’s growth. “Steve brings a rare combination of leadership, strategic insight, and operational expertise. His experience in driving organisational change and development on a national level will be invaluable as we work to strengthen our structures, improve our programs, and create long-term opportunities for players, coaches, and our broader community.
We’re confident that under his guidance, the Seahawks will thrive on the court and evolve into a professionally managed, community-focused organisation.
Steve commented that he was excited to contribute to the club’s growth.
“I’m excited to step into the role of General Manager at the North Gold Coast Seahawks. Having played alongside founder Greg Fox, I’ve always admired the strong foundation he and others established for the club. With such a fantastic catchment area, the Seahawks are well-positioned to grow, supported by the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre and the courts at Runaway Bay Indoor Stadium.
I look forward to connecting with our members, volunteers, coaches, and players, and to being on court watching kids enjoy the game we all love. Together with the Board and our community, I’m committed to building on the Seahawks’ proud history and driving the next stage of growth—both on and off the court.”
The Seahawks regard Steve’s appointment as a key step in building capacity and opening new opportunities both on and off the court.
