North Gold Coast Seahawks NBL1 Women Welcome Alleah Hanson and Gracie Champion

North Gold Coast Seahawks NBL1 Women proudly announce the signings of Alleah Hanson and Gracie Champion to their roster for the upcoming season. The signing of these two upcoming prospects mark a significant step forward for the team as they aim to strengthen their line-up.

Alleah Hanson, a promising young talent, makes the move down the M1 from the Logan Thunder and brings a wealth of skill and athleticism to the Seahawks.  The 6’2” youngster has featured in both Queensland and Australian junior teams and takes another step in 2024 in your senior career.

Coach Caddie Jeffries expressed her excitement about having Alleah on board, stating, "Being able to provide someone of Alleah’s calibre with an opportunity at Seahawks is the reason that I coach! Alleah is still so young, but I believe one of the best bigs her age in the country and she still has so much more potential which I’m keen to unlock this season.”

“Alleah is an athletic big who is strong and smart, she can shoot the 3 or play inside which makes her a really hard matchup for other teams. Alleah is such an asset to any association and team, so I’m glad we have her at Seahawks!"

Gracie Champion, known for her versatility and basketball IQ, adds depth to the Seahawks' line-up.  A Brisbane Capitals junior, she spent a year at California Baptist University where she averaged 4.2 ppg and 1.7 rpg.

Coach Jeffries shared her enthusiasm for Gracie's arrival, stating, "Gracie is another player I’m so very excited has decided to join us at Seahawks. Gracie is a high-IQ versatile player, who has the ability to score in many ways and defend a big or a guard if needed.”

“What is even more valuable with Gracie is her ability to drive team culture and buy in to my vision. I’m very excited to have Gracie with us at Seahawks and can’t wait for the season ahead!"

The NBL1 North season commences on Thursday April 11th when our teams take on the Logan Thunder at Logan.
