Another big edition for our Seahawks NBL1 North women for season 2026 with former Canberra Capitals WNBL development player Elizajane (otherwise known as 'Muffi') Loader joining North Gold Coast.
Loader, a combo guard, brings great experience and leadership to the program, having started and played a key role for the Rockhampton Cyclones during their 2024 NBL1 North championship season. She returns to the north after a season in the NBL1 East at her hometown of the Central Coast.
"I can’t wait to be back playing in NBL1 North, only this time with a fresh new uniform. When Brayden called and spoke of the team culture and on-court chemistry he endeavours to build this season, I knew I had to be a part of it," she said.
"I’m really excited to add some fresh flavour on the court and engage with the Seahawk community. All I can say is, get ready for 2026."
Coach Brayden Heslehurst said "Loader was the perfect fit for what he was building at the Seahawks, especially with her tenacity on the defensive end of the floor and will form a great backcourt pairing with Katie Deeble."
More player signings will be announced in the coming weeks
