Bayles to ignite Seahawks backcourt

The North Gold Coast Seahawks have signed electrifying guard Biwali Bayles for the 2023 NBL1 North season.

One of Australia’s exciting up-and-coming young talents, the Junior National Team representative helped Australia secure a gold medal at the 2019 FIBA U17 Oceania Championships averaging 9.5 points and 3 assists.

Bayles would go on to sign a 3-year deal with the Sydney Kings in 2021 and represented Mackay in NBL1 North 2022 where he averaged 17 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds per game, helping push his team to the NBL1 North post-season.

A proud young Indigenous man, Bayles expressed his excitement for the season ahead on the Gold Coast with the Seahawks.

"Really looking forward to the year here on the Gold Coast"

"We have a great group coming together and I'm looking forward to getting out there on the floor"

Head Coach Luke Mcguire is wrapped to have Bayles in teal in 2023.

"Biwali is a high level talent and will bring us elite point guard play for 2023."

"We are really excited to bring a high calibre player who can play both ends of the floor and will fit great into our culture".
