QSL Men's Head Coach Announcement – Jordan Mullan

In exciting news for the North Gold Coast Seahawks, Jordan Mullan has accepted the role of Head Coach for the upcoming 2021 Queensland State League season.

Mullan has been heavily involved with the Seahawks program over the last 8 months, initially coming in as an assistant coach with the Seahawks Men’s QSL team last year under previous Head Coach Bradley Kann and more recently being the current U21’s Men’s coach within the SQJBC season.

Mullan has an extensive resume within Basketball, notably being Head Coach of the QLD U20 Women’s team as well as being head Coach of Villanova College in Brisbane.

Adding QSL Head Coach to the resume was part of Mullan’s goals.

“I’m extremely proud and grateful for the opportunity to be the Head Coach of our QSL Men’s team this year” said Mullan.

“I got a glimpse of the squad towards the back end of the COVID affected QSL season and have had the opportunity to work closely with some of those players throughout the U21’s season, so to say I feel familiar with the group is an understatement”

“I’m excited to be a part of the journey for not only these players but the overall North Gold Coast Seahawks Basketball association”

“The work that I’ve seen put in from all parties since being a part of the association makes me want to be on board for the future”

Director of Basketball Brad Kann has welcomed the announcement of Mullan as the Head Coach of the QSL Men’s team.

“To be able to lock in someone of Jordan’s calibre is a huge get for the Club” said Kann.

“Jordan has worked really hard with the current U21’s SQJBC team, with some of these players expected to make the transition to the QSL team this year”

“With an eye on our future, Jordan will have the focus of getting the group back to being successful once again”

“We are excited by some of the calibre of players that Jordan is looking to bring into the group as well, so keep your eyes peeled for player announcements in the coming weeks”

Trials for the QSL Men’s and Women’s teams will be announced shortly.
