The North Gold Coast Seahawks are excited to announce that registrations are now open for our 2026/27 U16 Representative Program for athletes born in 2012 or 2013.
The Junior Seahawks Representative Program provides players with the opportunity to compete against the best junior basketball talent from across Queensland while developing their skills in a high-performance environment led by our experienced coaching staff.
Why Become a Seahawk?
The Junior Seahawks Representative Program is the next step from Junior Domestic Basketball and offers athletes the chance to:
Compete in the Southern Queensland Junior Basketball Competition (SQJBC)
Represent the Seahawks at the Basketball Queensland State Championships
Train within the Seahawks Style of Play
Learn from experienced representative coaches
Develop alongside some of the best young players in South East Queensland
Our representative teams compete throughout the season in carnival-style weekends across South East Queensland, travelling to associations as far north as Noosa and as far west as Toowoomba.
All teams also compete at the Basketball Queensland State Championships, with the U16 State Championships taking place during the Easter School Holidays.

This is exactly what my son's been waiting for rooftop spins! He's been playing domestic for a couple of seasons now, and the step up to rep basketball feels like the perfect next challenge. I love that they've got a clear pathway with the Pre-Trial Program for new players – it takes the pressure off a bit. Those carnival-style weekends travelling around South East Queensland sound like such a great experience for the kids, and competing at the State Championships during the Easter holidays would be a huge highlight. Definitely getting his registration in for those July sessions.
