QSL Saturday 19th September vs Logan Thunder

The top of the table Logan Thunder Women make their way to the Nest to take on our SmartSkill Seahawks Women’s team this Saturday night.

The highly powered Thunder Women come into the match up undefeated on 6-0 for the season, with their closest winning margin being 15 points to the Southern Districts Spartans.

Head Coach for the SmartSkill Seahawks Women Paula Jansen is confident of her troops being up to the challenge this weekend.

“We have been in this position before where we are playing a much more fancied opponent and have been up to the challenge” said Jansen.

“We will continue on playing hard on both ends of the floor and compete for the entire game”

For the Men’s game, it will be a battle for two teams looking for a win with the Seahawks Men still looking to place their first win and Logan sitting in second last place with 1 victory for the season.

For the Seahawks, the return of Mikael Willie from injury this past weekend is a much-needed boost to their ball handling and scoring ability.

“Mikey is someone we have missed for this entire season” said head coach Brad Kann.

“With a game under his belt and another week of practice, we are hoping he isn’t too far away from being full strength”

Coach Kann said his teams focus for this weekend’s game will be simple.

“We need to compete for 40 minutes” said Kann.

“If we can compete for the entire 40 minutes, we will give ourselves every opportunity to win this game”

SmartSkill Women tip off at 5:30pm
