Cameron Goldfinch returns to the Nest

The North Gold Coast Seahawks are delighted to announce the homecoming of their junior talent, Cameron Goldfinch, for the upcoming 2024 NBL1 North season.

Cameron spent the last two seasons with the Ipswich Force, where he secured an NBL1 North championship in 2023. During that season, he demonstrated his skills by averaging 10.83 points per game, shooting an impressive 43.72% from the field. However, Cameron's abilities truly shone during the NBL1 Nationals, where he elevated his game, averaging 25 points per game while shooting at an impressive 50% from the field.

Before his stint with Ipswich, he served as a Development Player for the Brisbane Bullets in the 2019-2020 NBL season. Additionally, Cameron has had successful NBL1 (QBL) stints with Gold Coast, Logan Thunder, and Brisbane Capitals, all while maintaining a connection with the Seahawks by representing them in the QBL during the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

Expressing his enthusiasm about returning home, Cameron Goldfinch said, "I can't adequately convey how thrilled I am to rejoin my junior club for the 2024 NBL1 North season. There's something profoundly special about donning those teal and navy colors – they represent not just a uniform, but also my basketball journey and a deep-rooted connection to my beginnings."

Head Coach Jordan Mullan had a clear vision of bringing Cameron back home during the recruitment phase for 2024. He emphasized the importance of nurturing local talent, saying, "A top priority in our team-building discussions with Brady was reuniting our players with their home turf. Cam epitomizes the spirit of our club, having evolved from a Seahawks junior through the developmental ranks to collegiate and NBL success. He's an exceptional defender and a versatile wing player capable of dismantling opponents both on the dribble and with his sharpshooting."

Make sure to give Cameron a warm welcome when you see him around the stadium. The NBL1 North season is set to kick off in April.
